Adoption Introduction: A true story

Engaging an adoption lawyer
[ Publication date Jan 01, 2001 ]

Apart from preparing and filing the numerous legal documents (the Court does not provide samples of the prescribed forms) and the attending before the Judge, a family lawyer also acts as a buffer when dealing with the natural parents. It will not be a pleasant experience dealing with the natural parents’ uncertainties when signing the Consent. To avoid any accusation that the natural parents have been "tricked" into signing the Consent, a qualified lawyer is the ideal neutral party to explain to them what they are signing and what it really means.
