Adoption Introduction: A true story

Adopting a foreign child
[ Publication date Jan 01, 2001 ]

If you’re going to adopt a foreign child, you’ll need to make sure that the overseas authority approves the adoption and issues a passport to the child as you will have to bring the child to Singapore.

Then apply to the Singapore Immigration and Registration (SIR) for the child to obtain a temporary dependant pass to come to Singapore to allow you to complete the adoption procedure.

You must ensure that a dependant pass will be given before the child is brought in.
