It is impossible for us (with our present resources) to list all the offences in Singapore. The Penal Code alone has 511 sections. In addition, the other laws passed by Parliament creates many other offences. These other offences are contained in other Acts of Parliament.
CRIMES INVOLVING RECKLESS OR NEGLIGENT BEHAVIOUR
j)Causing death by a rash or negligent act:
The description of this offence is found in s304A of the Penal Code. This applies to causing death by driving as well as"killer" litter from high-rise buildings, such as HDB flats.
k)Copyright Offences:
According to Section 136 of the Copyright Act, it is an offence for anyone to:-
- make for sale or hire;
- sell or "rent"; or
- carry out a business exhibiting or importing or trading or dealing in any article (with words, music, pictures, computer software etc.) which he should know is a "pirated" copy of such articles (ie they were not produced or traded with the permission of the copyright owner).
