This is an urgent preliminary PPO made before the actual PPO hearing starts. It is only granted if there is imminent danger of any physical injury to the Complainant or child. An EO is valid for only 28 days from the date it was served on the violent spouse (unless extended by the Court) or until the hearing date of the PPO summons starts, whichever is earlier.
