Panic Button

The Team

The founders, Lim Seng Siew, Susan Tay Ting Lan and Ong Ying Ping were partners of a law firm. The idea of the portal originated from their need to make their practice more efficient.

Lim Seng Siew
Senior partner of Ong Tay & Partners, a lawyer with 13 years of practice in Singapore before moving to WWLegal.com. In the year 2000, Seng Siew chaired the committee working with the Singapore Judiciary and the Attorney-General's Chambers on the world's first Court Electronic Filing System.

Seng Siew's strengths are his insatiable thirst for knowledge and his meticulous nature. Law and IT have been his 2 main interests since an early age. Spearheading the conceptualisation and technical implementation of the WWLegal.com vision marries those interests ideally.

Susan Tay Ting Lan
Founder of Ong Tay & Partners, a lawyer with 11 years of practice before moving to WWLegal.com. While in practice, her experience ranged from litigation to conveyancing and corporate work, Susan was the managing partner of the law firm responsible for designing and implementing its operational procedures and business development.

Susan's undaunted willpower and incredible drive have been indispensable for this project, not to mention her flair for design which has contributed to the look and feel of our portal.

Ong Ying Ping
Founder of Ong & Associates, the predecessor to Ong Tay & Partners, a lawyer with 10 years of practice specialising in litigation, Ying Ping was recently nominated for the Phoenix Award organised by the National Science and Technology Board. Ying Ping is best known as the youngest lawyer to start a law firm.

He is a passionate believer in his ideals and has the conviction to carry out whatever is necessary to overcome obstacles, especially in changing mindsets. WWLegal.com is his brainchild.

The other key members of the team are Wan Yew Fai and Devinder Rai.

Wan Yew Fai
With an initial grounding with KPMG, Fai then spent 6 years with the Regional Inspector General's office of US Aid, travelling to many Asian countries auditing programs supported by the US government. For his efforts, Fai received a Meritorious Honor Award from the US Ambassador. He was also the financial controller of Home Box Office (HBO) Asia during their initial expansion into the Asia-Pacific region. For the past 5 years, Fai has run his own construction company successfully as a Director of Finance and Marketing.

Fai is an accountant with a businessman's approach. His extremely high EQ and his ability to stay focused provide an oasis of calm, even in the context of internet time.

Devinder Rai
Previously a senior partner with Harry Elias Partnership, a lawyer with 12 years of practice specialising in commercial corporate litigation and professional disciplinary matters, Rai is now a member of an ad-hoc disciplinary committee of the Public Accountant's Board. He has represented numerous public listed companies.

Rai's cool and dispassionate style belies a strong commitment to the cause. He has made the transition from big-firm practice to this project with striking energy.
