Ratification of Double Tax Agreement between Singapore & Mongolia

An Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Singapore and the Government of Mongolia for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income enters into force on 22 October 2004 following the completion of ratification process. Its provisions shall have effect on income derived on or after 1 January 2005.

Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) is embarking on a public consultation of the proposed amendments to the Countervailing and Anti-Dumping Duties Act (the "CADA").
The amendments seek to implement the World Trade Organisation (WTO) spells out a set of internationally-agreed rules governing the use of anti-dumping duties.
MAS Consultation Paper on IRB Approach Asset Class Definitions and Size Limits

This consultation paper sets out the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) proposals on how Singapore incorporated banks adopting the internal ratings-based (IRB) approach in the Basel II Framework should:
- Implement the retail asset and sub-asset class definitions; and
