Singapore Academy of Law's Legal Legacies Exhibition

The Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) has put together an exhibition entitled "Legal Legacies" at the Supreme Court to show Singapore’s legal heritage. The exhibition is part of SAL's 20th anniversary celebrations.

The exhibition was launched on 3 July 2008 by Chief Justice Chan Sek Keong. The exhibits include historical photographs, rare legal documents and books, as well as newspaper cuttings on legal cases.

Besides the free exhibition, there is also a free tour to the old Supreme Court building for the public to discover more about Singapore’s legal history. The old Supreme Court building will be renovated as part of the National Art Gallery soon.

After 1st August 2008, the exhibition will be moved to the Subordinate Courts where it will be permanently showcased.
