High Court Rules That STB Can 'Ignore' Minor Error In Horizon Tower's Case
Posted on Friday, October 12, 2007 - 10:00 AM

Justice Choo Han Teck on 11 October 2007 ruled that the Strata Title Board (STB) cannot dismiss the sale application by the sellers of Horizon Towers because of technical errors in the application.

Justice Choo also questioned if the three missing pages from the original application constituted a "defect" in the first place. He added that the STB has a "duty" to hear the sale application based on its merits.

On 3rd August 2007, the STB had dismissed the majority owners' en-bloc sale application because of three missing pages in the application.

The STB will now have to rehear the application based on the merits of the application.
