New survival show in the works
16 lawyers to be put in an island, in a show of survival of the glibbest

Pulau Sudong - In a move to pick up ratings, local TV channel LawTV has planned a gruelling 39-day survival test for a select 16 lawyers, with a lucrative prize of a $1.2 million lawsuit awaiting the final winner.

"It kills two birds with one stone. We make a hit TV show filming 39 days of the most brutal, malicious legal exchange by solicitors of our choice, and get the toughest one to help us with our legal problems with offended viewers," said producer Seow Ai Deer.

Details could not be fully disclosed, but insiders say that programs on the island will consist of Summons-in-Chambers (a bi-daily test of courage), Creative letter-shooting, and a member elimination ritual for any group that loses called the Disciplinary Committee.

Sources also say that a whopping 300-plus lawyers have already signed up for audition, most of them from the bigger local firms here.

Auditions start next Tuesday.
